Davidsville, PA - HAHL - Harvey W., 96, Davidsville, was greeted by the Lord Jesus Oct. 4, 2025. Born Oct. 16, 1928, in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Luther and Catherine (Miller) Hahl. Preceded in death by brother, Louis, and sister, Martha. Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Dawna (Baldwin); children, Brenda (Jim Thrasher); Brian (Danette Kresko),; David, and friend, Cammie; and Eric; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Harvey graduated from Blacklick Township High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 until 1954 as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Harvey received his chartered life underwriter degree from the American College of Life Underwriters in 1966. He was a retired sales manager and financial services representative for Met Life with 55 years of service. He served as past president of Johnstown Association of Life Underwriters; past president of Cambria-Somerset Estate Planning Council; president of board of directors on New Day Inc.; and president of Cambria South Camp of Gideon International. He was a certified lay speaker and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years at the former Park Avenue United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and golf. A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Davidsville Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Day Inc., Davidsville Community Church, or Gideons International. "Well Done Thou Good and Faithful Servant."
