Friedens, PA - Diaz - Heidi Ann, 52, of Friedens, passed away on October 6, 2025, unexpectedly. She was born on January 2, 1973, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Glovany) Blazosky. She is also preceded in death by husband, Dr. Carlos A. Diaz; son, Michael Alberto Diaz; brother, Mark Michael Blazosky; and mother and father-in-law, Alberto and Carmen Diaz. Heidi is survived by children, Christa, Alexander, Katrina and Julia Diaz, all of Friedens; sister, Susan Blazosky, of St. Michael; brother, Bernard (Jennifer Petroro) Blazosky, of St. Michael; nephew, Joseph Blazosky, of St. Michael; and many aunts, uncle, cousins and dear friends.

Heidi was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, Conemaugh Nursing School and UPJ, where she earned her BS in nursing. She was a former employee of Conemaugh and Somerset Hospitals. Heidi retired from the field to devote herself fully to her true love, raising her children. She was a devoted wife and mother who often had a house full of her children and their friends. Heidi enjoyed reading, crafts and spending time with her children and pet cats. She will be remembered for her strength, selflessness and deep faith. Heidi was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she played the piano weekly at the 4 p.m. Mass and taught the second-grade religion class. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY of Somerset. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 433 W. Church St, Somerset, PA 15501. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Beaverdale. The family requests memorial contributions be directed to St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Heidi's memory.
