Johnstown, PA - 89, Johnstown, died December 13, 2025, at home. Born January 15, 1936, in Johnstown, daughter of James and Pauline (Christner) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert; brother, James. Survived by children, Deborah Dyson; Randall (Joyce Fyock); Glenda Harris (Michael); and Michael (Lorrie Roberts); grandchildren, Melissa (Doug Deyarmin); Amanda Brawley; Scott Brawley; Laura (Norwin Sevilla); Jeffrey (Samantha Bennett); Connie (James Cheskey); Kevin Harris; Evan Brawley; and Luke Brawley; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Anna Whyte; Barbara Stanton; Robert Shaffer; and Lucy Kovac. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a retired supervisor in the housekeeping department at the Lutheran Home. The Brawley family extends a heart-felt thank you to the staffs at Memorial Medical Center's 10 Ashman, and to Windber Hospice. At Helen's request, there will be no public viewing. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., with Pastor Toby Holland officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
