Bert was a great man, a man of the community. I remember as a little boy watching Bert commandeer the mighty Patton Firetrucks, directing traffic at "Patton Stadium" football games and personifying what it means to truly be a volunteer. Our town will surely miss Bert, a true gentleman in full. May God Bless Bert and His Family.
