Cranberry Township, PA - BURGBACHER - James Stanley, age 83, of Cranberry Township, PA, died on June 28, 2026. Beloved husband for 58 years of Patricia Curles Burgbacher. Loving father of David, and James, married to Krista, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jason, married to Heather, of Littleton, CO. Proud grandfather of Madeline and Sydney, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lia, Dreya, and Owen of Littleton, CO. Also survived by many loving friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Owen and Elnora Burgbacher, of New Martinsville, WV. Dr. Burgbacher practiced psychiatry for 45 years in Johnstown, PA; Danville, VA; and Tucson, AZ. He was highly respected by his peers and loved by his patients. He was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan throughout his life. Golf was his passion. He was also an animal lover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to ASPCA.
