Hollsopple, PA - 82, of Hollsopple, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away October 25, 2025, at his home. He was born January 18, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Earl Chester "Bud" and Evelyn (Wilson) Miller. He was also preceded in death by brother, Earl "Bill" Miller; sister, Delores Prinkey; and numerous brothers-in-law. Jim will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his loving wife of 51 years, Connie (Weyand) Miller; his children, Charles Miller and wife Beth, Chris Miller and wife Jen, and Jennifer Shaffer and husband Todd; grandchildren and the joy of his life, Darren, Josiah and Lorelei Miller and Tanner and Morgan Shaffer; siblings, Nancy Gowton, Carol Basinger, Linda Wolfe, John Miller and wife Cheryl, Barbara Miller and Debra Miller. Jim was a graduate of Connellsville High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was employed by L.E. Smith Glass, U.S. Steel, and retired from Westinghouse as a nuclear tech. He was a member of Maple Spring Church and was currently attending Rummel C.O.B., but still considered Mount Joy Covenant Church his home, where he attended for 70 years of his life. He was a member of the NRA, Christian Motorcycle Association, American Legion, and Bridgeport Sportsmans Club. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be gardening, deer hunting, hunting mushrooms, fishing, camping, or riding his Harley. He also enjoyed going on cruises and seeing God's beautiful creation. He loved to be of service to others, going with Brethren Disaster Ministries to worksites and on mission trips to Puerto Rico or with Bittersweet Ministries to Tijuana, Mexico. Viewing from 4-7PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 3-6:30PM Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home, 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 6:30PM Wednesday at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Smith officiating. Private interment for immediate family will be on Thursday at the Fairview Cemetery in Kecksburg with military honors.
