MILLER – James J. “Uncle Jimmy,” passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, around 1:50 p.m. of a heart attack in Johnstown. Born Dec. 24, 1937, in Johnstown, beloved son of the late Joseph and Leona (Surkosky) Miller. He was trained as a carpenter and worked his way to management for the federal government in Washington, D.C.  He returned to Johnstown upon his retirement, and was a loved member of the Zepka Harley-Davidson family. Survived by his wife, Dolores (Butara) Miller, Falls Church, Va.; children, Terri (Miller) Potts, Falls Church, Va.; Jim Miller Jr., Richmond, Va.; and Michelle Miller, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and siblings, Beverly Popovich, Indiana, Pa.; Rosemarie Zepka, Johnstown; Eddie Miller, Monroeville, Pa.; and Mary Jo Miller, Export, Pa. His family and friends will always remember him with a smile. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hindman Funeral Home, 1521 Frankstown Road, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial, St. John Cantius Cemetery, Windber.
