JO-ADA LYDIC OBITUARY
Jo-Ada B. (Fisher) Lydic, 79 of Ligonier, PA and formerly of Northern Cambria, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 from her home where she was surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Elma L. Fisher, she was born on April 6, 1943 in Glen Campbell, PA.
Jo-Ada was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
She was a very active member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Northern Cambria, PA.
On November 23, 1963, Jo-Ada wed William Donovan "Don" Lydic and they shared fifty-nine years of marriage together.
Jo-Ada had worked as a teacher's aide at the Northern Cambria Elementary School. She had also been employed at H & R Block and the shirt factory in Northern Cambria, PA.
She loved going to shows and concerts - no matter what the event was or who she was going with to it!
Jo-Ada thoroughly loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of Ligonier, PA; her daughter, Kimberly Horner and husband James of Ligonier, PA; her two grandchildren: Mack and Desoto Horner; her sister, Carrie Rager of Commodore, PA and brother, Tracy Fisher of Niles, OH.
Jo-Ada was preceded in death by her mother and her two sisters: Patricia Pennington and Lottie Longnecker.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. On Friday, January 27, 2023 an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held at the Uniontown United Methodist Church,7957 Rte 580, Cherry Tree, PA 15724 with Pastor Paul Yarnal officiating. Interment take place at the McDowell Cemetery in Green Twp., Indiana Co., PA.
