Stony Point, NC - MALZI - Joanne Louise "Jo," 64, of Stony Point, NC, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, at Mission Hospital. Joanne was born Sept. 27, 1960, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert G. Lydic and Theresa L. Poborski. She was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. She was a store manager for Talbots clothing store for many years. Joanne had a big personality and a smile that would light up the room. She made everyone she met feel like family and treated them as such. In her free time, Joanne loved spending time with friends and family, gardening, and often had a paintbrush or power tool in hand. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, James E Malzi Jr. Left to cherish Joanne's memory; son, James Robert Malzi (Whitney), of Hickory, NC; daughter, Lindsey McKendree (Brian), of Johnstown, PA; grandson, Oscar McKendree; sisters, Roberta Marovich, Karen Heltzel (Gary), and Laurie Malzi (Kent); brother-in-law Mark Malzi (Laura); sister-in-law, Michele Baker (Brad); and special friends, Andi and Greg Cveykus, and family; Jim Fobare; and Ben and Alicia Conklin, and family. Joanne is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and colleagues. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
