FRANKE - John J., 54, Johnstown, passed away surrounded by family on March 20, 2025. Born Jan. 4, 1971, to John and Antionette (Brunetto) Franke. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Scott Schmidt, and beloved dogs, Duke, Lucky, Shadow, and Buck. Survived by parents; siblings, Theresa Schmidt; Brenda Marhefka (Chopper); and George Franke (Brandy); nieces and nephews, Amy (Chad); Katie (Travis); Dana; Mark (Lauren); John; Scott (Debra); William; and Kadence; great-nieces, Jacey, Sienna, Sophia, and Valiea; beloved dog, Max; and numerous friends. John retired from Johnstown Wire Tech as a millwright. He loved guns and enjoyed hunting. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and more recently enjoyed putting together car models. At John's request, there will be no viewing. Family will welcome friends at 4 p.m. Saturday March 29 at This Is It for a Celebration of Life. Donations may be made in John's memory to a humane society of your choice.
