Cresson, PA - Kreshalk - John D. Sr. "Denny" "Big D," 81, Cresson, passed away at UPMC Altoona on September 1, 2025. Born August 17, 1944, son of the late Metro J. and Isabel (Varelotte) Kreshalk. Also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Kreshalk. Survived by his loving wife, Sally J. (Thomas) Kreshalk; children, Andrea (Mark) Folcarelli, Melissa (Tony) Zembrowski, Dennis "Video" (Erika) Kreshalk, and Michele (Scott) Michaels; grandchildren, Ross, Elizabeth, Samantha, Dylan, Kendahl, and Charley; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Denny was a proud veteran, serving in the Army National Guard. In his spare time, Denny loved going to the casino. He also enjoyed taking care of produce, especially fruit, and was known as "The Fruit Doctor." Denny was also known to be social, connecting with everyone he knew. Most importantly, Denny treasured spending time with his family and buddies, Jim, Justin and Denny. Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 3-7 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cresson. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Military honors provided by the Blair County Honor Guard. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, "Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care."
