Laverne and all the kids, Our heart felt sympathy and prayers go out to all of you. It's been close to thirty years since we have seen most of you however you're one family we will never forget. Find comfort that John is now singing with the angels and be thankful you can listen to his heavenly voice for many years to come through the CDs he recorded. Thinking of all of you and keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Bob and Judy Moser

We would like to share our most sincere and heartfelt sadness with Laverne and the entire Lythgoe family for your loss. I met John when I joined The Legionnaires D & B Corps in 1958 and we have been the best of friends ever since. He is truly Homeward Bound!

John and his whole family have been very dear and special friends of ours (The Hays Family) for many years. He will be sadly missed by us and everyone who has known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and especially with his dear wife Laverne (with whom I loved to go berry picking with). I know it’s hard to let him go, in the Father’s hands we know.......I envision John up there with Jesus, and with many of his friends who were waiting for him, (including my Husband Dean Hays) and telling them some of his cute little jokes that he was “famous” for. John loved to sing and now he is singing , face to face with Christ his Savior.
