Windber, PA - Price - John Pershing Jr., 72, of Windber, passed away on April 16, 2026, at home. Born September 24, 1953, to the late John Pershing Sr. and Lorraine (Truscott) Price, Portage. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Galen Seese, Ebensburg; mother and father-in-law, Jacob and Ona Lester; and son-in-law, Charles Davis. Survived by loving wife, L. Elaine (Lester) Price, Windber; children, Tammy (Davis) Knieriem (Robert), Davidsville; John P. Price III; and Theresa Kos; granddaughters, Kaylee Davis (Garret), Rachel Davis (Aiden), and Lindsay Knieriem (Aiden); sister, Darlene Seese, Ebensburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and dogs, Millie and Bucco. John worked at Harvey's Supply and CTP for 44 years as the assistant manager and manager. He was a member of the Scalp Level Trinity Church, Windber Lions Club, Summit Lodge 312, and was Scout Master for Troop 122. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice and UPMC Home Health for their loving care. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Simple Alternatives Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, Windber. Arrangements in care of Simple Alternatives, Inc.
