Urban, John George, 85, Mifflinville, passed away November 14, 2023 at his residence. Born May 28, 1938, Johnstown, son of the late John and Grace (Jacoby) Urban. Survived by his loving wife, Nadine (Koons) Urban, whom he married November 28, 1959 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson; children, Dena St. Clair and husband, Jeff; John Urban and wife, Melissa; and Mark Urban and wife Denell; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat Fusco; Redgie Little and husband, Alex; and Tony Urban and wife, Linda. John served in the Army National Guard from 1959-1962. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with his buddies. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3-7 p.m., Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Military honors will be provided by the Cresson American Legion, Sankertown VFW and other local military organizations. Burial St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
