WADSWORTH – John Dean, 85, Grant Street, South Fork, died Dec. 29, 2010, at home. Born Nov. 5, 1925, in South Fork, son of C. Herbert and Rose (Bortel) Wadsworth. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Mary (Dimond) Wadsworth, who died June 27, 2009; sisters, Mahala May, Grace Bracken, Lois Frank and Betty Smith; and brothers, Herbert, Robert, William “Earl” and George. Survived by son, John, married to Rosemarie Durant, Blanchard; grandchildren, Lisa, wife of Mike Boyle, Sidman; Christina Clevenger, Windber; and John Lewis Wadsworth, married to Hannah Drake, Federal Way, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Nicole, Shyann, Jazzmine, Sophia and Michael; sister, Lorraine Seyda, North Point, Fla.; and brothers, Ralph, Richland; and Clyde, South Fork. John was a World War II Navy veteran stationed at the Panama Canal. He retired as a supervisor in the mechanical department at Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, where he sang in the choir. Member of the building authority for the former Triangle Area High School. Life member of South Fork Volunteer Fire Company, Station 85. Past president of South Fork Lions Club. Third degree member of Prince Gallitzin Assembly 0919 Knights of Columbus. Member of South Fork Croyle Industrial Development, and secretary of South Fork Municipal Authority. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Robert P. Reese. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
