Katharine L. Goas, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Moon Twp and Johnstown, PA, passed away at 1:00am on April 10, 2019 in Whispering Oaks, after a brief illness. She was 80.
On November 2, 1938, Katharine was born in allentown, Pa, a daughter to Albert J. and Iva Mary (Steigerwalt) Albus.
Katharine graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, baking, reading, jigsaw puzzles and playing board and card games. Also, Katharine was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by: 3 daughters, Kathleen Working of Clarksburg W.V., Monica Ramey of Raleigh N.C. and Valerie Hamilton and her husband William of Hermitage; a sister, Christine Bortz; brothers, Daniel and Robert Albus; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. goas, whom she married January 28, 1961, and he passed away on September 9, 2015.
