Aspers, PA - Kenneth J. Leaver, 43, of Aspers, PA, formerly of Colver, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Ken was born on October 29, 1982 in McKeesport, PA, the son of John "Dan" and Deborah Valko (née Campbell), of Colver, PA. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Kari Leaver (née Howser); a son, Pascal Leaver, at home; his in-laws, Thomas and Janet Howser, of Arbutus, MD; his nieces and nephews, Greg Leaver and Rebecca Leaver, both of Blairsville, and Arielle Fino, of Crofton, MD; and two great nephews, Braxton Leaver and River Bowers, both of Blairsville. Ken is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen "Steve" Leaver.

Ken graduated from Central Cambria High School and Shippensburg University. For the past 18 years, he has been employed as an accountant for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, most recently for the Department of Human Services, Office of Long-Term Living. Ken was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan and a Lego collector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching movies, hockey, football, Formula 1, IndyCar, track and field, and golf, and playing video games. He completed an extensive gardening and landscaping project at home in 2024 that he was most proud of. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

There will be a viewing at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Rev. Julie Jackson officiating.
