Miller - Linda L., 77, of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, April 12, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 25, 1947, in Zelienople, a daughter of the late Robert Carl and Mary Louise (Somerville) Glenn. She married Richard C. Miller on June 15, 1974, in Altoona.

Surviving are her husband, Richard; three children, daughter, Erin M. Ventre; son, David R. Miller; and daughter, Ashley R. Thompson (Ray), all of Altoona; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ventre, Kennadie Miller, Nick Thompson, Michael Ventre, and Axel Thompson; an aunt, Maryjane Somerville, of Detroit, Michigan; and numerous extended family members. Linda was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the former Third Presbyterian Church, Altoona. She was a 1965 graduate of Zelienople High School, a graduate of Ithica College with a degree in social work, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Master of Social Work degree (MSW). Linda was previously employed as a Director of Social Work at the Altoona Hospital, she was then employed as a Social Worker at Family Planning, then following that as a Social Worker at Health South, Altoona. She retired as a Social Worker from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, in 2017 following 44 years' total service time.

Linda genuinely enjoyed social work, but her greatest love was spending time with her entire family. She also adored spending time at her "special place," Ormond Beach, Florida, going there at least yearly with her family. She enjoyed many frequent family trips to Disney World.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. with Elder Janet Kephart, officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
