New Castle, PA - Lori Renee Weakland, 44, of E. Sheridan Avenue in New Castle, died Sunday, November 5, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Altoona, PA, on November 15, 1978, the daughter of the late Donald J. Weakland, Jr., and Sally L. (Wagner) Weakland, her mother survives in New Castle. Lori was a bartender in Littleton, CO for 16 years, and worked in Human Resources for the Pennsylvania Farmer's of American in New Wilmington for three years. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Environmental Sciences and Human Resources. She was a volunteer and very active with the Lawrence County Humane Society. Lori loved flower gardening, hiking, especially in Colorado, and loved her dog, Lucy. She was a very outgoing and social person, and was very kind, and tried to do one random act of kindness everyday for anyone.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Lynn A. O'Connor and her husband Bill of Aurora, CO, and one niece, Maelena G. O'Connor.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 12 PM to 2 PM at Hastings Methodist Church, 162 4th Avenue, Hastings, PA 16646. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ashley Wyatt will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society, 628 Pearson Mill Road, New Castle 16101.
