M. Agatha Markum Obituary
Johnstown, PA - MARKUM - M. Agatha "Aggie," 93, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Aug. 2, 2026. Born Nov. 2, 1932, in Summerhill. Preceded in death by parents, Louis M. and Mary G. (Wirfel) Weinzierl; husband, Robert J. Markum, who died Oct. 26, 2014; sisters, Millie Weinzierl, Louise Bodenschatz, and Grace Lane; and brothers, Leonard and Gerald Weinzierl. Survived by children, Denise, wife of Bernard Montag Jr.; Kevin, married to Grace (Nagle); and Suzette, wife of Ray McCombie; beloved grandchildren, Matthew (Jamie), Craig (Jenna), Eric (Johana), Corey (Elise), Kate, Morgan and Nick; and seven adored great-grandchildren. Aggie drove bus for Richland School District for 27 years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Moxham, and Solomon Run Ladies Auxiliary. She was the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma any family could have. The grandkids will always cherish memories of "Crunch up soup," egg sandwiches, and the dreaded wooded spoon! Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Moxham; Father Bernard Karmanocky, OFM, celebrant. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the many friends she made at Arbutus and the compassionate caregivers who took such great care of her, loved her, and supported her during her stay.
