Ebensburg, Pennsylvania - BRUCE - Marian J., 71, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025. Born on July 25, 1954, in Loretto, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Anna Marie (Glass) Bruce. Marian was a 1972 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg. She later made her home in Hollywood, Florida, where she lived for 50 years before recently returning to Ebensburg. Throughout her career, Marian worked as an accountant in private practice. She was known for her professionalism and attention to detail. Marian loved animals, especially her cherished cats, Lacey and Bear, who will miss her dearly. Marian also loved going to the casino and had many friends there. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Woods; sisters, Lynn Mikula and Jeanette Quigley (Kenneth Quigley); sister-in-law, Patricia Bruce; brother-in-law, Paul Liscomb; and nephew, Doug Liscomb. Marian is survived by her sister, Audrey Liscomb, of Ebensburg; brothers, Ronald Bruce (Chris), of Orwigsburg, PA, and Gregory Bruce, of Lansdale, PA; brother-in-law, Francis Mikula ,of Ebensburg, PA; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Ross (Bill) and Claire Karlick (Bob). She is also survived by her cousins and beloved nieces and nephews: Sarah Mikula (Ryan Shepard), Kelly Bruce-Gibbs (Benjamin), Julie Riley (Matt), Shannon Quigley-Sheets (Thomas), Kenny Quigley (Kristin), Matthew Quigley, Brendan Quigley (Karen), Ryan Quigley, Stephen Quigley (Michelle), Scott Mikula (Ashley), Philip Bruce (Sheila), and Michael Bruce (Catherine). Marian will be remembered for her gentle spirit, sense of humor, and the deep love she had for her family, friends and her fur babies. Friends will may gather from noon on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m., the Rev. Father Brian Warchola, officiating.
