Boswell - Martin Alvin Yommer, 75, of Boswell, PA, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at UPMC Somerset Hospital, Somerset, PA. Born December 26, 1947, in Summit Township, PA, he was the son of the late Alvin L. and Mary R. (Reich) Yommer. He is survived by his wife, Peggy M. (Briskey) Yommer, whom he on married April 26, 1980.Martin was owner and operator of Cemetery Lettering Services and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with Co. E 2BN, 5th Cavalry, and 1st Cavalry Division. He was a faithful member of the Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church. Marvin was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, 1st Cavalry Association, 5th Cavalry Association, God Wing Road Riders-Chapter PA-T and F.O.E.-Eagles. Martin enjoyed riding motorcycle, gardening and the outdoors. Friends will be received for a visitation at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, PA, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Vicar Allen Stump officiating.
