GRATA – Mary L. “Mary Lou,” 75, Vinco, passed away Nov. 1, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 30, 1936, in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Frank Belsky and Rose (Margic) Belsky, New York, N.Y. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by husband, Ronald D. Grata; and grandmother, Slava Hadari. Survived by loving children, Deborah L., wife of Daniel Kinney, Hampstead, N.C.; Ronald F., married to the former Lynn Meyers, Vinco; and Paul, St., Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Emily, wife of Elliott Wagner; Ronnie Grata, and girlfriend, Jessica Wagner; and D.J. Kinney; brother, Mike, married to the former Mitzy Dizino, New York, N.Y.; aunts, Mary Kovalcik, Frances Moore and Anne Fabina; uncle, Joe Hadari; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Mary Lou was a 1954 graduate of Conemaugh High School. She retired from Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8, where she was employed as a teacher’s aide after 14 years of service. Member of Church of the Transfiguration, Jackson Township Senior Center and Silver Sneakers Water Aerobics at the YMCA. She enjoyed camping, water skiing, boating, bowling, pitching horseshoes and playing pinochle with her club members. Mary Lou loved her polkas and dancing. More than anything, she loved her children, grandchildren, brother and entire family. Friends received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Transfiguration, the Rev. Father Robert C. Hall. Committal, Assumption Cemetery.
