Mary Alice was a devout Catholic, a faithful life member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Mary Alice loved unconditionally, and brought a special light into everyone's life, especially her family. A beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She did not know a stranger and was always ready and willing to do whatever she could to help. She loved her flowers, birds, music, her favorite tv shows and her yearly sister trips. Antique cars always held a special place in her heart, especially with owning and running the family business Restoration Specialties alongside her husband and sons for many years. She was a longtime active member of the AACA and Flood City Car Club. When she wasn't tending her begonias you could find her at the pool doing water aerobics every Tuesday and Thursday. She also spent Thursday's volunteering at the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, and the first Friday of every month doing Communion calls. She loved to be busy, and was involved in prayer shawl group, a Bible study, church council, and so much more for her community and church. But for as busy as she stayed, she always made time for family. Sundays were her favorite day; it meant church and dinner with family. She was a strong and extremely faithful woman; she always had a beautiful smile on her face and a kind word or prayer to say. Her favorite title was Grandma/GiGi and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Mary Alice will be greatly missed by so many but as said in 2 Corinthians 5:8, "We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 7, at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, with Father Larry Lacovic. Private committal at All Faiths Chapel Mausoleum & Cemetery, Richland Township.
