Nanty Glo, Pa - SANDERSON - Mary E. (Restauri), 97, Nanty Glo, passed away Aug. 2, 2025, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Export, PA, daughter of the late Guiseppi and Rosina Restauri. Preceded in death by husband, John "Red" Sanderson; brother, Nick Restauri; sisters, Frances Vaglia, Della McPhee, Edith Modis, and Stella Grembi; and son-in-law, Ed Jaber. Mary is survived by children, Lynn (Paula) Sanderson, Sharon Jaber, Mae Rose Sanderson (Patrick Sullivan), and Joe (Dee) Sanderson; grandchildren, Gary (Amanda), Gina (Rob) Sinicki, Corey (Shaina), Cody (Kristin), and Jamie (Cody) Kerr; great-grandchildren, Connor, Mason, Luke, Hannah, Saber, Saxon, Lyndi Mae Sinicki, and Nieko Kerr; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and sister-in-law, Caryl Sanderson. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed bowling in leagues and going on bus trips to the casinos. She loved flowers from African violets to mums and Rose of Sharon. She loved and supported her family in every way, always putting them first. She enjoyed making Sunday dinners on a weekly basis. Family and friends were received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, at noon. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to Christine Weaver and the staff of Forest Hills Personal Care Home and Asera Care.
