Mary Sullivan (nee Delasko) Obituary

Sullivan - Mary (Delasko), age 94, of Brunswick, ME, passed away on March 6, 2025, at Thornton Hall Assisted Living. Born on January 8, 1931, in Central City, PA, Mary was the second youngest of 11 children born to Frank and Veronica Delasko. Preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, as well as her husband, Bernard Sullivan (2008), and son, John Sullivan (2019). Survived by daughter Mary Jane Fisher, of Haddonfield, NJ, and grandchildren, Veronica Fisher, of Brunswick, ME, and Alexander Fisher, of Whitefield, ME.

Mary was a high school graduate who particularly enjoyed her time and travels with the American Legion Drum & Bugle Corps. She relocated to NYC, where she met her husband, and they moved to Rochelle Park, NJ, to raise a family. She remained in the same home until age 93. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking and bike rides. Mary also loved coffee and cats, and regularly fed the neighborhood strays.

Her family would like to give special thanks to her neighbor Ricky, along with Nuris and Gayle, who helped her remain in her home until it was no longer an option. They would also like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Thornton Hall, and the compassionate and supportive hospice staff at CHANS.
