Rose - Maurice Eugene 95, formerly of Richland Twp., died September 27, 2022 at Moravian Manor Communities, Lititz, PA. Born May 31, 1927 in Paint Twp., son of Austin and Edna (Naugle) Rose. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Emma Catherine and Luella (Manges), grandsons Andrew Hahn Drenner and Vladimir Vladimirovich Schafer, and by wife, Kathryn Louise (Watkins) whom he married November 17, 1951, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Berlin, PA. Survived by daughters Pamela Beth wife of Donald Dale Drenner, Manheim, PA, and Melissa Kay Rose wife of Daniel Evan Schafer, Nashville, TN, grandsons Nathaniel Dale Drenner and Jacob Anton Schafer.

Maurice attended Paint Twp. Elementary School and was a 1943 graduate of Windber High School. He was inducted into the Army near the end of World War II and served in the Signal Corps in Germany. After being discharged he attended the Johnstown Veterans School, obtained his 1st Class Radiotelephone License, and was employed in the WJAC-TV Engineering Department for 39 years. After retiring he enjoyed doing woodcrafts as well as maintaining and improving his family's home in Richland Twp. He also enjoyed visiting friends and relatives in Florida, Tennessee, and Colorado. Maurice was a longtime member of Flood City Region Antique Auto Club of America and often drove his 1950 DeSoto to car shows.

Maurice was a former member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Hooversville, and is now a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber.

Services and interment will be private.
