Johnstown, PA - 81, Windber, passed away December 3, 2025, at Windber Hospice. Born September 1, 1944, in Windber, son of the late Michael J. Sr. and Frances J. (Riner) Alexander. Preceded in death by wife, Connie J. (Senior) Alexander; and brothers, Daniel Alexander and William "Bill" Alexander. Survived by loving girlfriend, Donna Jean Hiner; children, Douglas M. Alexander, married to Courtney; Michael J. Alexander III, married to Jessica; Ashley Alexander; grandchildren, Skylar Alexander, Makayla Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Lincoln Alexander, Grant Alexander, Arionna Wilburn, Christopher Wilburn, Blake, Cassie Evans, Jacob Evans; great-grandchildren, Briella and Connor; sisters, Mary Ann, married to Thorkild Jensen; and Patricia Turfler and fiancé, Larry Wilkinson; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Windber. He was a dedicated fireman serving the Scalp Level Paint Fire Department, for 64 years, holding numerous positions including captain, assistant chief, Chief and on the administrative side he held the positions of vice president, president, and board of directors. Worked for US Steel and Johnstown Corp. for over 27 years. An avid outdoorsman enjoyed hunting with family and friends and fly fishing on the Juniata River. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Michael Alexander to the Scalp Level Paint Fire Department.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, where vigil service will be held 3 p.m. and fireman's service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Lacovic. Committal to follow at St. Marys RC Cemetery, Windber. Memorial contributions may be directed to Scalp Level Paint Fire Department in honor of Michael.
