Michael F Nalisnick
67, Canonsburg, PA, native of Bakerton, passed away February 16, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 1, 1952, in Spangler, son of the late Michael and Mary E. (Ernest) Nalisnick. Survived by loving wife of 46 years, Virginia (Owens) Nalisnick; daughters, Brenda (Sean) Withers, Canonsburg; and Sharon "Sherri" (Patrick) Mercer, Owego, NY; and grandchildren, Cameron, Garrett, Hayden and Taylor. Brother of Tom (Gina) Nalisnick, Ebensburg and Jean Ann (Leo) Contorchick, Bakerton. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Marian Carey, Altoona and Donna (Pat) Gallaher, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Joy Global Inc. after working 40 years in the accounting and finance department. Member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Muse, PA. Also a member of the Oil City, Knights of Columbus. An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of Bakerton Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed following the Pittsburgh professional sports teams as well as many college athletic programs. His greatest joy was found in family, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren was his priority above all. Friends will be received from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Fr. Jude Brady will conduct a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mike was the grateful recipient of a kidney transplant more than 30 years ago and the family requests memorial donations in his honor to the PKD Foundation, 1001 E. 101st Terr. Suite 220, Kansas City, MO 64131.
