Nancy Jean Cale went peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 2, 2023. Born July 23, 1935, in Johnstown PA, the daughter of the late Howard A. Culp and Mary F. (Yocum) Culp. Nancy was married to Richard W. Cale who preceded her in death August 7, 1987.
Also preceded in death by maternal Grandparents Bruce and Emma Yocum, brothers Ted (Sandra Smedley), Tom (Shirley Burkhart), Dave (Nancy Hummon) and Bob (Norma Dietz), nephews Curtis (Roxanne Stahl) their eldest son Joshua, and Tim.
Nancy is survived by ten nieces and nephews, twenty-two great nieces and nephews and nine great-great nieces and nephews.
Nancy worked for the FBI Fingerprint Division in Washington DC when she graduated in 1953 from Richland High School. Later she worked for Crane Plumbing and Heating and last worked as a switchboard operator/receptionist at US Steel, Johnstown.
Nancy was a member of Jacobs Church, Hesston PA for 47 years and secretary of the White Church Cemetery Board for 44 years. Her smiling face and jovial nature was enjoyed by many who attended the Jacob's Church One Room School House fellowship meals she helped organize, prepare and serve.
Nancy had many friends and cherished their friendship.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday November 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington Street, Huntingdon, PA. A funeral service will be held following visitation at 1:00 PM on Wednesday November 8, 2023. Pastor George C. "Buddy" Baird officiating. Interment will be in White Church Cemetery, Hesston.
