Hastings, PA - QUIST - Nancy L. (Nagle) 82, passed away at UPMC Altoona on Aug. 15, 2025. Born April 10, 1943, in Hastings, to the late Joseph and Mary (Stumpf). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Jack Quist. Also preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Steve Nagle, and sisters, Carol Crump, Connie Lytle, and Vicky Corbett. She is survived by her son, Bill Quist, and wife Lois (Yeager); grandchildren, Nathaniel, and wife Holly (Becker), and Briana Redden, and husband Andrew; great-grandchildren, Allyson Paronish, and husband Robert, and Melanie and Jackson Redden; great-great-grandchildren, Robert and Rowan Paronish, all of Hastings; brother, Ken Nagle, and wife Louise, Saint Benedict; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was a strong and loving woman, who found joy in everything. She worked at the Patton shirt factory for about 18 years, but found the most pleasure working at home. Her passion was tending to her many vegetables, flowers, and rock gardens. Also baking and doing various crafts and projects. Her biggest joy was spending her time with her family and with her cats. She babysat her grandchildren when they were young and never missed an opportunity to watch them participate in their many events. Most recently she's thrived on being "great gram gram" and spending time watching her great-grandbabies grow. Nancy will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Easly Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA 16646. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Boniface Rectory on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at 1278 Main St. Hastings, PA 16646.
