Patricia A. Luszik Obituary

78, of Freehold, NJ, passed away August 1, 2018, at home after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Windber to the late Ann (Rubal) and Walter Celmer. She is survived by Michael, her husband of 54 years; her sister, Janet Dinicola of Hollidaysburg; her daughter and spouse, Ann Marie and Andrew Rohmeyer of Englishtown, NJ; her granddaughter, Mary; sister-in-law Jean Celmer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Celmer; and a brother-in-law Victor Dinicola. Growing up in Beaverdale, she graduated from Beaverdale-Wilmore High School in 1958 and from St. John Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh in 1961. Patricia worked as a registered nurse in the Dispensary at Bethlehem Steel and at Johnstown Memorial Hospital. In 1964, she married her sweetheart Michael Luszik and shortly after, moved to Roselle, NJ. She continued her career at Memorial General Hospital in Union, NJ. Later they resided in Englishtown, Jackson and more recently Freehold, NJ. Patricia was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Englishtown, NJ and later on, St. Mary on the Lake R.C. Church, Lakewood, NJ. Pat followed her passions of writing, photography and even took piano lessons later on in life.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on August 10, 2018, at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in Wilmore, Father Joseph Nale, celebrant, followed by Committal at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
