Patti Darlene Horbal
63, of Johnstown, taken far too soon, has been called home to be with her Lord. Patti passed on December 8, 2019, surrounded by her family at her home in Johnstown, PA after a year long battle with cancer. Born December 19, 1955 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Charles and Dolores (Wells) Johnson. Preceded in death by her brothers Terry and Brady Johnson. Survived by her loving husband, Gregory Horbal, Johnstown; daughter Jeanette (Mowery) Pope, married to Michael Pope, Virginia; son James Mowery, Jr., Arizona; most loving little granddaughter Jordan Pope; sister Linda married to Ken Cotterman, Ohio; brother Lance Johnson, wife Linda, PA; furbabies Shadow, Bella, Fluffles, and Princess; and several nieces and nephews. After graduating from Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech in 1974, Patti worked at Bethlehem Steel for several years before pursuing a career as a school bus driver with McIlwain's and Isle of Wight Academy, and lastly drove a school van for Mlacker Transportation. Patti enjoyed all the children she drove and was adored by them as well. She loved to be crafty and create things as a hobby; as well as spending time with her husband and furbabies and enjoyed watching her TV shows and listening to country music. She enjoyed baking, especially her usual Christmas assortment of many, I repeat, many delicious cookies. Anyone who knew Patti knows she loved to watch and root for her Pittsburgh Steelers and if you were around her you would most likely hear "go, go, go, touchdown, ALRIGHT!". She enjoyed spending her summer vacations with her granddaughter and was the best Nana ever. Patti always had a smile on her face and was friendly to everyone. Her laugh was contagious and her quick wit and sense of humor will be forever remembered. She was loved dearly by her family and loved ones and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received from 2 - 8 PM Wednesday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home where the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak will hold Panachida Service at 7 PM, and are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10 AM Thursday at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Committal Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Patti Horbal Memorial Fund.

Patti was a wonderful Sister-in-law. She enjoyed Hap's wine, and we could talk for hours. She came into our lives for such a short time but her footprints will be on our hearts forever. We loved her and thank God for the happy memories we have. Nahum 1:7

To the Johnson family, I am at a loss, Patti and I 'reconnected' a few years ago and spent many hours reminiscing.
To Greg, when Patti and I started talking several years ago, besides talking old times, she went on endlessly about you, it didn't surprise me when she moved back to PA.
I am so sorry for the loss you have all suffered and my thoughts and prayers are with you all, she was a wonderful person.

May God provide comfort to Patti's children and granddaughter Jeannette, Jordan and Jimmy as well her sister Linda, nephew Brian and brother Lance. Patti was a sweet person who loved life and her family. May she rest in peace joining her mom, dad and brothers Terry and Brady.
