Seward, Pa - Marabito, Paul John, 98, of Seward passed away November 13, 2025 at home. Born May 9, 1927 in Charles, Pa, son of Paul and Lucille (Ooghe) Marabito. Preceded in death by parents; wife Catherine A. Marabito (1996); and sisters, Mary "Sis" Kruk, Bernice Zamba, Jean Davis, and Emilie Marino. Survived by loving children; Paula married to Eugene Edwards - Seward and Kevin Marabito married to the former Sheila St. Clair - Seward; grandchildren, Tonya married to Ross Snyder, Elizabeth Edwards, Justin Edwards, Brianna married to Garrett Herbert, and Brett Marabito married to Olivia (Flick); great grandchildren, Patience, Te'a, Tommy, Quinn, Tatum, Luca, and Nico; and great great grandchildren, Olivia and Maury; special friend Patricia Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church - Seward. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII serving in Iwo Jima and Japan as a Seabee. He was also a member of UMWA and Carpenters Local # 1419; a lifetime member of the New Florence VFW # 7622, serving as a former Quartermaster; lifetime member of Seward Volunteer Fire Company; and a lifetime member of the American Legion in Johnstown. Paul also served as the secretary/treasurer for St. Clair Township. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home - Seward. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church -Seward, Reverend John J. Harrold officiating, Interment Armagh Cemetery. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice and Dr. Dennis Eckels for Paul's wonderful care and the assistance they provided to the family. The Jon A.
