Johnstown, Pennsylvania - PENROD - Phyllis A., 95, Richland Township, died June 10, 2026, at Windber Woods. Born March 21, 1931, in Windber, daughter of S. Newton and Gladys (Mock) Yoder. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Kenneth D. Penrod; sister, Elnora Yoder; and brother, R. Wayne Yoder. Survived by children, Sharon, wife of Wayne Kaufman, Davidsville, and Bryan, married to the former Dawn Zimmer, Windber; grandchildren, Kevin (Katie) Kaufman, Minneapolis, MN; Keith (Heather) Kaufman, Windber; Kelly, wife of the Rev. Jonathan Mann, Pickerington, Ohio; and David Penrod, Richland; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Corey, and Julie Kaufman, Wes Kaufman and Jackson and Kensley Mann. Phyllis was a 1949 graduate of Windber High School. She was a member of Scalp Level Trinity Church. Phyllis enjoyed reading, embroidering and camping. She was a wonderful homemaker. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Scalp Level Trinity Church with the Rev. Erica Wellner and the Rev. Jonathan Mann, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Scalp Level Trinity Church, 751 Horn Road, Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Phyllis A. Penrod.
