Johnstown, PA - Bair - Richard J. Sr., 84, Johnstown, passed away July 6, 2026, at Windber Hospice. Born April 9, 1942, son of Harvey F. and Harriet L. (Jones) Bair. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Judith Ann (Hoffman) Bair; brothers, Harvey Bair Jr., George Bair, and Jack Bair; and sister, Patricia Paonessa. Survived by children, Richard Bair Jr., of Johnstown; Tracy Smith (Russ), of Salix; Barbara Thomas (Cory), of Johnstown; Jeff Bair, of Johnstown; and David Colesante (Deborah), of Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Michelle Sarlouis. Richard proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He worked at Bethlehem Steel and was a self-employed logger. Richard loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the AMSLO Club and the German Austrian Hall. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, Johnstown, PA 15906, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m., Pastor Nancy Hoover officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Military honors by VFW Post 155.
