Windber, PA - ROMAN - Richard "Rik," passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer on April 14, 2025, at Windber Hospice. Born Dec. 28, 1968, in Windber. Preceded in death by grandparents, Mike and Julia Kondas; father-in-law, Joe Marva; sister-in-law, Denise (Marva) Keller; and cousin, Micky Kondas. Survived by mother, Sallie Kondas; wife, Cynthia (Marva); children, Nykki, Maylee, and Marleigh, of Windber; sister, Dana (Dave) Young; mother-in-law, Donna Marva; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rik was a member of Scalp Level Covenant Brethren Church. He was employed at MSC (Alum Bank) and previously at Advanced Cutting Systems (Windber). Rik loved his Harleys, car shows, and his latest passion the Jennerstown Speedway, where he was on car crew #76, Hemminger racing. He had an abundance of friends, old and new, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Rik was a loving husband and father. He was always there day or night and never told his girls "no." He will forever be loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
