South Fork, PA - BARBER - Rita G., 94, South Fork, died June 27, 2026. Born May 6, 1932, in South Fork. Preceded in death by parents, William S. and Verna M. (Baird) Watts; husband, Eugene M. Barber, who died June 30, 2001; infant daughter, Missy; sisters, Annalynn Dupas and Beatrice Buscaglia; and brothers, Paul and Wm. Boyd Watts. Survived by daughters, Robin McKenrick (Joseph); and Kim Tebbs (Kurt); beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, and Alex; and numerous nieces and nephews. As a devoted member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rita found joy in the friendships she built through the Parish Council, the Altar Rosary Society, and by helping organize funeral luncheons. She was a proud graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, Class of 1950, and often spoke fondly of her years with the Falcon Drum & Bugle Corps. For more than three decades, Rita served as a Purchasing Agent and Supervisor at Conemaugh Hospital, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She also found great happiness in cooking and baking for those she loved, creating meals and treats that became cherished parts of countless family gatherings. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant. Committal, St. James Cemetery. May we honor Rita by living with the same faith, generosity, and compassion that guided her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork Fire Company, South Fork Library, or South Fork Historical Society.
