Robert P. Harvey (aka Bud or Jake), 75, of Alum Bank, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 peacefully at his home. He was born on August 5, 1942, in Johnstown; son of the late Samuel E. and Margaret I. (Litzinger) Harvey. On June 12, 1976, he married Barbara J. (Eckenroad) Harvey. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Jane; Karl; Dorthy L. Clark; Mary L. Harvey; brothers, Earl M. ; Harold T. ; John J.; and Donald J. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of 42 years; children, Robert L. Harvey and wife Kay of Lancaster; Jeanna A. Petak ; Kenneth R. Harvey; Tami L. and Larry Cole of Johnstown; and Wayne E. Clark of Alum Bank; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Varner of Lancaster; Evelyn of Ephrata; brother, Lester Harvey of Duncansville; and many nieces and nephews, friends and family. Bob worked as a mechanic for 10 years at Garden Spot Motor Company; 7 years at Haduck and Theile Ford Johnstown; and 18 years at Wonder Bread and Hostess Cake of Johnstown. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping, and he loved it even more if the grandkids were with him. He loved working in his barn and liked to build things. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, Oct. 12,1960-May 12, 1964. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his wife and family. A special thanks to close friends and Granes Hospice.
