HOLTZ - Robert "Hayman" J., 62, Hastings, passed away on March 20, 2025. Born March 19, 1963, son of the late Francis K. and Joan E. (Strittmatter) Holtz. Preceded in death by sister, Patricia Woodley. Survived by siblings, Ronald Holtz (Kathy), Johnstown, and Peggy Holtz, Hastings; nieces and nephews, Matthew Holtz, Nathan Holtz (Alyssa), and Lea Holtz; great-niece and nephew, Ruby and Archer; and brother-in-law, Blair Woodley. Robert was a member of the Hastings Fire Club and the Hastings VFW. Robert enjoyed playing games on his iPad, listening to the classic rock channel, watching the game show network on TV, and playing cards, especially pinochle with his family on Sunday nights. He enjoyed gambling at the casinos and was a Penn State and LA Rams fan. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings, where funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, Father Thaddeus Rettger, officiating. Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernard Church or Hastings Fire Company.
