Mount Joy, PA - Robert A. Sukenik, 70, of Mount Joy, passed away in the care of Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Joanne Sukenik, Johnstown. He is survived by his loving wife, Denise, brother, Brian of Johnstown, and his sister, Andrea (Matt) Walkowski of Johnstown.
A 1973 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and a 1973 Scholastic Art Award. Bob then was a UPS Supervisor. In 1984 he graduated from the Thompson Institute with a degree in Specialized Business Executive Data Management. He made the Dean's list. He worked for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) in Harrisburg as a Senior Network Administrator.
Bob enjoyed fishing with his brother-in-law and father-in-law. He was creative and talented, building an amazing model railroad layout. Bob was kind, generous, and a hard worker. He was the love of Denise's life. Bob was a faithful member of Mary Mother of the Church in Mount Joy, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Mother of the Church, 625 Union School Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552 on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 11 AM. A private viewing will be held for family and invited guests. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary Mother of the Church (address above) or Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
