YOUNG - Robert B., 76, Altoona, formerly of Johnstown, died Saturday May 7, 2016, at UPMC Altoona. He was born March 2, 1940, in New Brighton, son of the late Merl and Ida (Young) Young. He married Joyce E. Hauer June 13, 1965, in State College. Rob is survived by his wife, Altoona; three sons, John Young, Pittsburgh; Mark Young (Debra), York; and Todd Young (Stephanie), Altoona; three grandchildren, Daniel, Rayne and Kiersten Young; a brother, Raymond Young, Easton; and a sister, Eleanor Kudart, Medford Lakes,N.J. Rob retired from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Corrections; was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in criminology and a master's degree in public administration; and was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Army Security Agency. Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, Pa. 16602, in memory of Rob.
