Johnstown, PA - "Ro" (Freeman), 92, formerly of Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, passed away January 31, 2026, at Horizons Personal Care at Villa Crest, Johnstown. Born January 29, 1934, in Johnstown, the daughter of William J. and Leora (Allison) Freeman. Also preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Dwaine A. Berkebile, and sisters, Dorothy Lynch and Theda Freeman. Survived by children, Sandra L. Berkebile, Bradley R. Berkebile and William L. Berkebile and wife Sheila (Lees), all of Somerset; brother, Richard Freeman, of Pittsburgh, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Romayne was a 1952 graduate of Ferndale High School. She retired from Sears Department Store as a Seamstress. She was a member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her family. She also liked to attend auctions and flea markets. Romayne will always be remembered for her infectious smile, wonderful sense of humor and kind heart. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Crest, especially Annette, and the Interim Hospice team for all the care given to Ro. At Romayne's request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Davidsville.
