Ron served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a teacher at Hollidaysburg High School and a guidance counselor at Altoona High School, a career lasting over 30 years. Ron was the best husband, dad, grandad and great grandad ever. He was a family man, the #1 fan of his children and grandchildren in their many activities. He loved football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was a master of Sudoku, he loved gardening, making Friday night pizza, jogging, and he was a good listener and a wise counselor. This gentle, quiet, loving, caring and wonderful man has left a permanent mark on our hearts and will be supremely missed and never forgotten. May God bless him abundantly. Ron was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Father Jude Brady OSB, celebrant. Interment, St. Benedict Cemetery.
