STIFFLER – Roy M. “Hot Shot,” “Farmer,” 83, New Florence, went to be with the Lord July 5, 2010, at home. Born March 4, 1927, in Punxsutawney, son of late Clell and Rachel (Paul) Stiffler. Also preceded in death by wife, Alverda I. “Jump” Stiffler; brothers, Walter Randolph, Kenneth and Earl Stiffler; and sisters, Marie Walls and Josephine McClarren. Survived by children, Frank Stiffler, married to Jeanne Scaife, Seward; Linda Foust, wife of Nate, Bolivar; Cindy McCurdy, wife of James, Indiana; Bonnie Donahey, Marion Center; Delores Stiffler, New Florence; and Troy Stiffler, married to Elizabeth Langowski, Hagerstown, Md.; grandchildren, Shawn, Brian and Timothy Stiffler; Jesi and Tyler Foust; and Maggie, Mac and Tristan Stiffler; brothers and sisters, Olive Sarra, Indiana; Russell Stiffler, Seward; Leona Smith, Nanty Glo; and Owen Stiffler, Mundys Coroner; special family friend and cousin, Carl McClarren, New Florence; and faithful companion, Jesse. Member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. Roy enjoyed being with his family and friends. Retired coal miner who also worked at Schroth Industries and Adams Brothers Lumber. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Scott Hamley. Interment, Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
