Johnstown, PA - HODOS - Ruth, 70, of Johnstown, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1956, in Johnstown, the daughter of Paul J. and Evangeline L. (Hanuschak) Hodos. Preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Mary Lou Hodos. Survived by her loving siblings, Paul J. Hodos, married to Barbara (Fabina); Janet Bombatch, married to Larry; and Robert Hodos, married to Beverly (Snoby); nephews, Paul (Renee), David (Debra), Evan (Mei), and Jacob (Erin); nieces, Tonya (Mike) and Marlene (Crissie); and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Ruth loved traveling and going on bus trips to the casino with her family. Ruth worked as a longtime nursing aide and took great pride in helping those in the community. Ruth was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, where a funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Anthony F. Spilka, FF, OFM Conv. Committal will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
