Johnstown, PA - 80, of Johnstown, passed away January 8, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born May 29, 1945, in Johnstown, the daughter of Frank H. and Lillian B. (Harshberger) Whatmore. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Raymond S. Rheel, who welcomed her back into his arms after 24 years; great-grandson, Theodore; brother, Frank Whatmore; sister, Sarah Mihalaki; mother-in-law, Anna Rheel; father-in-law, Lloyd Rheel; and brothers-in-law, John Polacek and George Mihalaki. She is survived by her loving children, Alan Rheel, married to Emma; Anita Flanagan, married to Timothy; Richard Rheel, married to JoAnn; Melissa Botteicher, married to Kevin; and Roberta Stiles, married to Randy; grandchildren, Dustin (Danielle), Brandon, Stella, James (Carla), Kellie (Krista), Martina, Kara, Brittany, Travis, Kyle (Ashley), Kiara, and Kristin; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Sandy, Janet, Irene, Rose, Ruth, and Susie. Sandra graduated from Franklin High School in 1963. Sandra spent many years working in the shoe department at Boscov's. She was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 254 and the Amslo. She was an avid bingo player and had a passion for butterflies. Sandra adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved celebrating holidays with her family. Sandra was very active and dedicated to her faith. She was a member of SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church, where she also helped as the "Chair Person" at SS. Gregory and Barnabas fish fry, as well as make the pierogies. Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will truly be missed by many. Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church, Rev. Elue I. Callistus. Committal will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
