Sara Jean "Sally" (Sheehan) Evans, 80, of Indiana, PA passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA. The daughter of Edgar R. and Zelda P. (Boring) Sheehan, she was born April 24, 1937 in Johnstown, PA. Mrs. Evans graduated from Johnstown High School in 1955 and worked as the office manager for Ferrellgas, Windber, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church, Conemaugh, and was a Rainbow Girl and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Johnstown. Mrs. Evans lived in Myrtle Beach, SC for 20 years, prior to 2014, and was a member of Forestbrook Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach, SC. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Kenneth E. Evans whom she married January 18, 1958; a son, Timothy E. Evans and his wife, Cristal of Blairsville and a daughter, Tracie A. Wash and her husband, Jason of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Stacy Harsh, Matthew Evans, Jennifer Monohan and Abigail Wash; four great grandchildren, Oliver Harsh, Elizabeth Harsh, Imogene Evans and Lochlyn Monohan and a sister, Betty Rae Sheehan of Latrobe. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
