Hastings, PA - 69, Hastings, passed away July 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by loving family. Born March 26, 1956, in Spangler, the daughter of William Lester and Patricia (Weakland) Link. Preceded in death by parents; niece, Sheri Potonic; and sister-in-law, Michelle Link. Survived by loving husband of 48 years, William Babyak; daughter, Lisa, wife of John Stevens, Hastings; brother, James Link; and sister, Beverly, wife of Richard Lechene, both of Hastings. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Shirley worked for nearly 35 years as the owner of her own hair salon where she enjoyed the friendships of her many clients. In her free time, interests included making floral arrangements, scrapbooking, jigsaw puzzles, and regularly reading the bible. She cherished her roles of wife and mother, happily taking care of her family. She loved to cook, try new recipes, and looked forward to weekly shopping trips with her daughter, Lisa. Shirley was blessed with a kind and generous heart and a true love of helping others. She sponsored numerous children through the church fostering program, always wanting to make a difference in the lives of others. She lived her life guided by her deep faith in God and to serve others. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria; and on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Bernard Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB celebrant. Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery.
