Everett, Pennsylvania - Shirley J. Gephart, 87, formerly of Alum Bank, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Rebecca's Personal Care Home in Everett, Pa.

She was born on January 5, 1935, in Cambria County, Pa; daughter of the late Samuel and Viola (Penrod) Bailey.

On August 8, 1954, she married Rev. John Gephart of 57 years. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Stephen; brothers, George, Elmer, Earl, John, Russell, Gerald, and Samuel Bailey; sisters, Catherine Allen, Ethel Bailey, and Olive Hinson.

She is survived by her deceased son, Stephen's wife, Kathy Gephart of Alum Bank; children, Alan Gephart of New Paris; Glenn and wife Faye Gephart of Alum Bank; Carolyn and husband Don Conrad of Alum Bank; Susan and deceased husband Dave Conrad of Alum Bank; Kathleen and Mike Hill of Alum Bank; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Davis.

Shirley was a member of Rev. John Gephart's Church in Lovely. She then attended the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church. She loved gardening, woodworking, cooking, taking care of her children, and traveling to see different Christian singing groups. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, January 26th from 9 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

Interment will be at the Hull Cemetery in New Paris.
